In LA the Best Seat to the Oscars Isn’t the Front Row, It’s in the Living Room

Los Angeles Luxury Homes

Los Angeles is a town known for its appreciation of a good party or special event, but many would be surprised to discover that the best parties don’t happen in a nightclub ora Los Angeles hotel’s rooftop. No, they happen in the comfort of someone’s Los Angeles luxury home.

Los Angeles real estate often features expansive areas designed specifically for hosting posh parties such as the ones set for this week’s Oscar ceremonies.

In a recent LA Confidential Magazine article, some of the absolute best were profiled and one Beverly Hills house is currently on the market.

Richard Papalian’s estate being offered for $36 million was among those profiled. It features a 7,400 square foot living room with double height glass sliding doors that opens to the magnificent deck that overlooks views of Beverly Hills. It also features a one-floor master bedroom complete with bar, Jacuzzi and 2,200 square foot private terrace.

Another magnificent Bel-Air house profiled in the article is the Sheats-Goldstein Residence. This home overlooking the Benedict Canyon is more like the owner’s own personal nightclub. Nicknamed “Club James” after the owner, James Goldstein, this luxury Los Angeles property features a built-in infinity tennis court, a concrete nightclub, built-in bar, digital video space and much more.

In Los Angeles, private residences commonly located in Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, Bel-Air, Hancock Park and Los Feliz are often used as spaces for events that attract a diverse crowd that includes celebrities and the international jet set. Large companies are more than willing to pay a significant amount to rent out these luxury homes in Los Angeles for special events such as post-Oscars parties, product launches and award ceremonies. It’s another income stream for those who view Los Angeles luxury real estate not only as a magnificent place to call home but also as an investment.

I am currently in talks with the Architecture and Design Museum of Los Angeles to use my own mid-century modern home in the Hollywood Hills area designed by noted architect Carl Maston as a design salon to feature the house in a private party setting. We have also offered the house to support the arts and host an art installation featuring up and coming artists. In a private home setting artists can sell their work and avoid paying an art gallery almost 1/2 their profits.

In order to gain entry into these in-demand properties and reap the benefits of owning both a luxury Los Angeles home and a showplace worthy of even the most posh event, you need the assistance of a qualified, local Los Angeles Realtor. Acting as your Realtor I will be your guide to this exclusive sector of the thriving Los Angeles real estate market and will act both as your liaison and your advocate throughout the entire process.
