2013’s MOST POPULAR LOS ANGELES NEIGHBORHOODS WITH HOME-SEEKERS

Hooray for HollywoodPopular real estate website Trulia calculated the numbers on which Los Angeles neighborhoods had the most listing views.

The top 4 are all pricey neighborhoods, probably due to the home web surfer seeker’s irresistible temptation to imagine how the other half lives or it could just be for some good old design inspiration. Whatever the case may be, I am just tickled pink that my favorite neighborhood (which is also my farm area) of Hollywood Hills is ranked #1 out of 107 Los Angeles neighborhoods!

The surpriser in 5th place is the reasonably priced area of Mid-City which is right next to Koreatown. The popularity of Mid-City is reflective in the building boom in neighboring Koreatown with projects like “The Vermont” twin towers, the revival of Hotel Normandie and soon to open early next year “The Line” hotel pioneered by celebrity chef Roy Choi.

As the saying goes, where there is smoke there is fire and I would bet that the most popular areas on the Trulia list will have the largest increase in price next year. These are the areas you might want to consider purchasing a house or better yet an investment property. After all the housing market including the rental market is primarily driven by supply and demand.
