The Sunset Triangle Plaza was created by Streets For People (S4P)an organization that offers a cost efficient and time expedient approach to creating public plazas out of underutilized portions of our streets and designed by Frank Clementi of Rio’s Clementi Hale Studios (they’re also designing Downtown’s Civic Park). The Plaza’s inspiration comes from the successful pedestrian plazas located in New York and San Francisco and will be in pilot mode for about a year and possibly beyond if it proves popular.
This is Los Angeles first Pedestrian Plaza and with the increasing demand for a more safe and welcoming streets, residents can now play, walk, run, bicycle and rest.
