Hilary Swank Is Breaking Up and Moving Out of her Los Angeles Luxury Home

The two-time Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank is selling her Los Angeles luxury home in the Pacific Palisades due to her reported split with live-in boyfriend of five years, Hollywood agent John Campisi. Swank purchased the 6,700-square-foot, six-bedroom, 6.5-bath Mediterranean mansion around the time they started dating in March 2007 for $5.8M. It is probably difficult for her to imagine staying in a house filled with memories that will be a constant reminded of their failed relationship.

Originally built in 1928, the house was restored by Santa Monica based architect Mark Appleton with interiors by NYC based designer Mark Zeff. For the asking price of $9,495,000 or $1,413 per square foot you can own this stunning Pacific Palisades ocean view estate.

Features of the house include a double-gated motor court, gourmet kitchen, formal dining area that seats up to 20 people, wrap-around terrace offering serene ocean views, state-of-the-art surround sound home theater furnished with custom leather recliners for 17 guests, a lounge area with wet bar, a butch leather-walled wine/cigar room, a fitness room, Loggia w/ Al Fresco dining, an outdoor kitchen, swimming pool and spa. I have to say; even though this is a large house, the elegantly scaled rooms and refined casual furnishings make this a very inviting and warm home.

In the Pacific Palisades you have best of both worlds with Malibu beach and the city at your fingertips while living in a small town neighborhood vibe. History buffs and art enthusiasts a-like may be interested to know that just a few blocks from Swank’s house is the artists’ retreat Villa Aurora, where writers Thomas Mann and Bertolt Brecht and filmmaker Fritz Lang met after escaping Nazi persecution during World War II.
