ACTOR MICHAEL C. HALL OF THE HIT SHOW DEXTER IS SELLING HIS HOLLYWOOD HILLS HOME FOR $1.995 MILLION

hollywood hills homesMichael C. Hall, the actor behind the methodical murderer Dexter Morgan on “Dexter,” has listed his Hollywood Hills home designed by famed architect Hal Levitt for $1,995,000. He has called the property home since 2008, when he purchased it for $1.75 million.

You know you’ve arrived in Hollywood when you’ve picked up a home designed by Hal Levitt. The famed Los Angeles architect designed spaces for many celebrities ranging from Olivia Newton-John and Dean Martin to Debbie Reynolds and Lionel Ritchie.

Situated in the Outpost Estates area of Hollywood Hills, Hall’s home is typical of homes in the area. Built in 1933, the mid-century style home was brought back to life in 1964 by famed architect Hal Levitt, who lived in the home until 2004. Immensely private, the 3,535-square-foot home has five bedrooms and four bathroom property has been meticulously renovated. Features of the home include a downstairs gym with guest room plus its own bath, extensive patio space, a sparkling pool and large-scale windows that highlight the expansive canyon views.

Prior to his role on “Dexter,” Michael C. Hall starred in “Six Feet Under” and was a regular on Broadway. The home sale may be due to his recent divorce to his “Dexter” co-star, Jennifer Carpenter. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, who play siblings on the Showtime hit series, finalized their divorce in December 2011 just two years after they eloped in Big Sur.
