VISTA DEL MAR

Vista Del Mar provides comprehensive, family-centered social, educational, and behavioral health services, which encourage children, adolescents and their families to lead self-reliant, stable, and productive lives. Serving the changing needs of all children and families in our community Vista Del Mar offers high-quality treatment programs for children with significant emotional, social, learning, and developmental disabilities. In a safe and nurturing environment, we provide a range of exceptional programs in education, autism, adoption, residential care, prevention, and early intervention.

A non-governmental organization, the children’s medical charity provides cleft lip and palate repair surgeries to children worldwide, assists countries in reaching self-sufficiency with these surgeries, and works to reduce the occurrence of cleft lips and palates. As of March, 2013, the organization reports that it has provided more than 3.5 million comprehensive patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with facial deformities.

PROJECT ANGEL FOOD

Project Angel Food’s mission is to nourish the body and spirit of men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, Cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Volunteers and staff cook and deliver free and nutritious meals, prepared with love, throughout Los Angeles County, acting out of a sense of urgency because hunger and illness do not wait. We deliver more than 13,000 meals every week to people in need.

CHILDREN’S BURN FOUNDATION

The Children’s Burn Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support services for child burn survivors, ages 0-18 and their families, as well as burn prevention and fire safety education to thousands of children and caregivers in Southern California, nationally, and internationally.

OPERATION SCHOOL BELL

Operation School Bell (OSB) provides new school clothes to nearly 5,500 Los Angeles Unified School District students from impoverished circumstances. By working with these children, we improve school attendance, promote learning and enhance self-esteem. For the past forty-five years, volunteers for Anne Banning Auxiliary (ABA) of Assistance League of Southern California have given underserved and at-risk children new clothing to wear to school through OSB. Volunteers provide well-fitting shoes, uniforms, jackets, grooming kits, backpacks and school supplies, offering students a greater chance to succeed.
